WHAT IS THE JUNGLE VALDIVIAN?

n Chile we have our forest, and is in the Los Ríos Region, whose capital is Valdivia, bordered by the Rio Calle Calle, Valdivia and Cau Cau.La Cruces Forest is also known as Valdivia Rainforest Valdiviana or temperate rainforest and as an evergreen forest. It is considered a good representative of the oldest forests in the world, has an unusual diversity of tree species, many of which are unique in the world. The species of trees and animals that are possible to find in the jungle valdiviana depend on your geographical location to the coast and the mountains

Unlike other forests in the world, does not have Selva Valdiviana dangerous or poisonous animals, so it is very easy to travel around and enjoy it, but ideally with a guide to understand its infinite detail.

La Selva Valdiviana has global importance to be included among the 25 "hotspots"of biodiversity of the world, defined by the WWF, emerging as the longest-lived species, the Larch, which reaches an estimated age of more than 2500 years.

WHERE TO VISIT THE JUNGLE VALDIVIAN?

To get around, there are different options: Coastal forests with larch Larch National Park Coastal Oncol Park and several private reserves as Pilolkura. In the Andes are the forests of the Biosphere Reserve Huilo Huilo, specifically in the range of Panguipulli, together with the various hot springs in the industry. Furthermore, the endless mountains of the Lake Ranco also have some trails around Llifén and crossings between the volcanoes, the little known area of Caulle Cord. All of the above without urban forests can see part of the Valdivia sellva mixed with botanical park with species from Europe and North America.

Valdiviano typical forest flora may encounter some differences between the mountainous area that is cooler than the coastal area, these variations are due to the height of the trees, and the population of some species. The main species of flora are: Trees: oak, coigüe, evergreen, beech, luma, hazelnut, Tineo, myrtle, elm, Araucaria, mañío, olivillo, cypress and larch. Flowers: Chilco, elm, copihue, Bamboo: quila, colihue. Berries, myrtle, caulk, machinery. Changle edible fruits and plants or coral (fungus), Nalco, digüeñes' (fungus oak), rosamosqueta, hazel.

Some animals and birds that inhabit the forest eco-region valdiviano: Monito del monte, Pudu, Puma, Loro Choroy, black-necked swan, herons girls, gray fox, nutria, otter, huiña, gato colo colo, huemul, partridges and wild boar .
