CUENCA DEL LAGO RANCO. Campo, purity, warmth and quiet people.

Famous for the beauty and transparency of its waters, while the great fields that surround the lake Ranco and its rivers are ideal for relaxation all year round. A true paradise nestled between the majestic Andes mountains and a tangled forest. A quiet corner, yet undiscovered by tourists. They are part of the target communes Paillaco, Futrono, Lago Ranco, Rio Bueno and La Union, allowing travel from mountains to sea territory.

Here you can practice all kinds of water sports, especially those who use the wind. You can also go running around, circling the entire lake, visiting different beaches, viewpoints, cities such as Lake Ranco or Futrono, into the mountain range and Lake Maihue Llifén, discovering the tranquility of the countryside and sharing food, crafts and life of the Mapuche culture in places like rural or Illahapi Calcurrupe.

Here is the third largest river in Chile. On his way to the sea, the river Well, can practice sport fishing, kayaking and boat, discovering woodlands, birds. The people of the same name is the starting point for boating and fishing downstream.

Accessibility.

Ranco Lake basin is an integral part of the Red Interlagos, which is concerned to maintain and improve the different circuits linking the southern lakes.

  • From Route 5 south from the crossing Rheumatism, accessed Futrono, sector Norte del Lago Ranco.
  • From Argentina to the sector is accessed via Lago Ranco Huahum Paso, through the Lake Pirihueico, Neltume (Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve) and Panguipulli.
  • Also from Route 5 South, crossing the Union - Rio Bueno access the south bank of the town of Lake Ranco.
  • From Lake Puyehue, you reach the southern shore of Lago Ranco.
