Vuelta al Lago Ranco: tours for lovers of landscape and the magic of South

Surrounding the lake Ranco is a must for lovers of country landscapes, mountains, rivers and crystal-clear lake. This area was created so our minds imagine and dream of green fields and forests pure. Here there is milk and cheese for Chile and the world, with presence of some of the most important and also a strong tradition of field and ancestral Mapuche culture. There are beaches in different sectors and viewpoints and views that invite you to stop on the road again and again.

Since the Panamericana highway, you can access from crossing Reuman to Futrono, near Paillaco and also from Rio Bueno. Another option for the south is through an inner journey from Lake Puyehue, to the city of Lago Ranco.

Tips

• Craft fairs and tourism Mapuche: Mapuche weaving Beautiful native wood carvings, including decorative and utilitarian articles can be found in different locations, and Calcurrupe Illahuapi highlighting, among Llifén and Lago Ranco.
• Roads: to encircle the entire lake, only a few miles from Llifén unpaved and Lago Ranco. Is recommended to drive with caution.
• Well cross the river by ferry: To feel in far southern road, there is an old ferry which shortens the way and walk a beautiful road. This is located in the area of Puerto Lapi. It is recommended that the City of Lago Ranco for its operation and schedules.
