Mocho-Choshuenco National Reserve. A jewel to discover

National Reserve Mocho-Choshuenco, has an area of 7,537 hectares, is located next to the reserve Huilo Huila and its location is shared by the communes of Panguipulli, Los Lagos and Futrono. It is considered a priority conservation site, as it hosts one of the most extensive and varied mixed deciduous forest remnants Andes, along with a great system of rivers and lakes contain very little disturbed aquatic ecosystems that connect directly to the Costa Corridor area Andes, as well as the volcanoes are located and Choshuenco Mocho, which give the name the reservation

Tips

  • There are several trekking trips from the town of Choshuenco. The journey to the summit of the volcano is one of them.
